Sinn Fein/Joe Higgins/Richard Boyd Barrett to save Tory embarrassment?

The British Tories: Friend of the Irish worker?

The British Tories: Friend of the Irish worker?

Interesting piece from The Sunday Telegraph here (Yes, I read it. Know thine enemy, etc? I’d read An Phoblacht too only I don’t want to be on a Special Branch list.)  A Yes vote in Ireland will cause chaos in the Tories, because it will force their moderate eurosceptic leadership into a fight with the “Better off out of the EU” crowd. Whereas a No vote will allow them to unite with the Irish No lobby. You know, the people they share so much in common with?

The Tories believe the EU gives workers too many rights. Which is the exact opposite of what the No lobby say, funnily enough. Yet these are the people the No side claim they can negotiate an alternative to Lisbon with?

  1. All I can say is that as we head into this 2011 General Election campaign , the voters of Dun Laoire would be awful fools if they believe Richard Boyd Barrett once again that he is only a harmless poor divil of a member of the phantom ” People Before Profit” alliance who has nothing to do with the SWP, Trotskism , or anything like that , God Forbid !
