Voters in Mississippi reject Irish-style abortion amendment.

Voters in the conservative southern state of Mississippi have rejected a constitutional amendment to give “personhood” to fertilized eggs by 55%.

I think getting 43% to support it was pretty good, especially when the media do what you just did and use terms like “fertilised egg” which we normally call an embryo and which science clearly tells us is a human being and not an egg. Nor was the amendment to “give personhood” but to recognise the personhood. It’s a long war.
