This pic is from today’s Irish Times, and appealed to me for a wealth of reasons.
Firstly, wouldn’t they have looked much better if they were watching with a nice cup of tea and a chocolate digestive balanced on the side?
Secondly, I love the way they’re clutching their guns as if they’re meeting their future mother-in-law for the first time and don’t want to put the guns down and dirty up her good room.
Thirdly, wouldn’t it be just great if, rather than watching President Obama, they were watching “Last of the Summer Wine”?
Just a thought, and yes, my brain is fried from elections.
